Game FPS (how to find out?)

Thread Starter
I want to figure out how many FPS I am getting when playing COD2 out of curiosity... is there something I can download that will measure my frames per second?

I've seen people comment on their FPS but never how to do it

download a program called Fraps. Get Trial

Or with certain games, go here: COD 2 and other benchmark tools

They are great programs, I use them to benchmark drivers and such. Like current test!

ATI Tray Tools does it if it will work on your 8800!

Fraps works with every game and it can take multiple screenshots and take video of your gameplay, so I recommend you get that.

I use Fraps for that stuff, but you can also possibly do some command line things within the game to show it. I know that you can constantly display FPS, Ping, Latency, etc in CS:S by typing something into the command line. Try googling that for COD2, as well.

Here we go... this is the lowest I could get it to drop to in this map... in the main court yard it stays at like 85 and indoors it is pegged at 91fps!

I have it all maxed out and it is a 1680 x 1050 LCD
