Give it 1.4V and work your way up. Keep a close watch
on the CoreTemps, using version 0.95 for definite support for the new CZ revision X2's used on the 5600+ and 6000+. Anything under 65*c for each core is quite acceptable.
3.1GHz would be edging close to the limits. If your current wall is 3.1GHz stock volts, you'll find yourself increasing vcore quite often as you reach the K8 Wall. But let's see how it goes
