How do you guys play your PC racing games? - Page 2

I use a wheel, Logitech Momo. To get the best racing experience in games, you have to use a wheel, keyboard is nothing but lame.

Here are two that I HIGHLY recommend based on price ranges:

Logitech Momo $75-100
- Amazing for it's price, very smooth and accurate. Comes with the shift knob and shifter paddles. Force feedback with 270 degrees.

Logitech $300
- The best one for the simple consumer, comes with a leather bound steering wheel that turns 900 degrees, just like a real car. Also, not only does it has the paddle shift, it also has the h-shifter and a functional clutch. Any racing game freak's dream.

ok, so now that I know the 360 controllers will work I wonder if that bad ass Microsoft wheel they released for Forza 2 would work for a PC? If so even though its expensive I wouldnt mind saving for it as I could kill two birds with one stone. Because I know I want Forza 2, Forza 1 was the best racing game I have ever played in my life. Rallisport Challange 2 and Moto GP2 a close 2nd

i have a brd sim f1 wheel and 3 pedal setup, heavy as a pregnant elephant and more solid than an oak door.

had it for about 6 yrs now and i wouldnt swap it for anything else, they make the wheels and pedals for all the top sim ****pits (read as cokpits)

Gonna see if my Logitech Driving Force Pro works. It's intended for the PS2 but it's USB so it might work... I play my racing sims on my PS2+44 inch TV anyway

900 degrees turning angle+gear lever+F1 gears on the steeringwheel ftw!!

Don't bother, it sucks.

I'm a sim racing geek, i wrote a guide to wheels in my sig - i had an M$ SideWinder wheel (fairly good), a Momo (which broke...) and i now have a G25 and i wouldn't swap it for the WORLD, it f'ing rocks.

K/b sucks as an input because it's analouge, mouse is MUCH better, but only one game seems to support this as an input device

/me wants a VPP pedal set, but /me also realises that it's far too rediculously expensive for me!

That's what I used for NFS:C.
Exactly what I did. I've been using it for years now for almost every game. I use a PS2 controller for some fighting games (a few SNK games), but I find that the extra two face buttons on the Controller S help a little better.

i use a Logitech copy of the PS2 controller for my racing needs, also for my GTA needs.

I have a PS2 to USB controller adapter from Radio Shack, it was $10, so I can use my PS2 controller for any PC game.
