I would have to say go with the crossair but not sure which one due to my lack of info about ram. I'm pretty sure you will get answer soon form someone who has better knowledge about ram.

The ONLY reason for gamer's to go AMD is due to cheaper chips so you can buy a better video card.

BUT the 6000+ is as much as C2D's making it not bang for buck friendly

6000+ = < 400 mhz OC

E6600 = > 800 (1000) mhz OC doing more ops with newer architecture

I have been amd for 9+ years and only bought 1 Intel (conroe) for my performance rig. My secondary rig = 3600 x2 amd. But if you are getting into power pc's intel has it in the bag UNTIL the next cores are launched

Its your choice though

It looks good to me, minus the processor.

Hmm.. Actually I would recommend 64-bit vista. 32-Bit doesn't support 4GB of ram, (It does but only 3.2GB or so will be usable) and in vista, 2GB for gaming is a close call. I noticed a big increase by adding 4GB, so if your thinking about the future I'd recommend 64-bit vista, just so you can upgrade to 4GB of ram later.

There is a way to get vista to support more than that on 32 bit.

Big improvement (from a AMD fan)

No reason to go conroe for the cash you are laying down.

Read the AMD boards, a 3600 brisbane will OC the same or more than a 6000 (generally 3ghz)

A 6600 will bust 3.4 + ...... and do more work with the clock
