Vista's battery life...

Thread Starter
I've been told its supposed to drain like a biotch..

yet for some reason..It's MUCH better on my laptop!..

IDK why though...

XP used to have about 1 and 1/2 hours...now Vista has about 2 hours..

any1 with similar results?

that all depends on what version of vista you have, and what laptop you have.

different version have diferent programs in the background draining up more cpu use age making more power useage. also if you laptop is core 2 then you should have more battery life than most other laptops. also if your laptop originally came with vista you should most likely get more battery life than the other person who put vista on their windows XP laptop - but not in all cases.

Vista has better power management features, I know that. I am also getting a little longer batter life with Vista on my inspiron 6000... around 3.5hrs instead of 3.
