Yes, I imagine there are quite a few good consolers out there, but if they disabled that kind of stuff in the game, then all the Halo-only ppl that don't even know they're being helped would be like ***?!?

I think it should be an option to disable the exaggerated hitboxes / aimhelp, but who do you think the devs are gonna listen to? The minority of real gamers that want to actually get good with a controller, or the console-monkeys that would freak out if those "features" were disabled?

I don't think any reasonable gamer would say the XBox controller is garbage (though I've never been able to get the hang of it, myself). The point is that a mouse and keyboard merely offer more precise and controllable movement and therefore accuracy. This just supports that side of the debate.

Now, let's entertain the conspiracy theory. It's clear that Microsoft enjoys a much leaner revenue stream with the console market than PC gaming. Games are developed and released for *one* specific system and peripheral set with very little post-release support required. Therefore, it stands to reason that they would like to see people move from the PC to consoles for their gaming needs. With that in mind, whose purposes would really be served by making the XBox controller more viable in Live games?

I'm just sayin'...
