ZOMG my megahurts!
well i took the plunge this long weekend and finally decided to install my koolance exos(which i will make a log for soon) water cooling circuit! i also decided to change out my mobo from the evga 680i AR to the A1. so after a successful, but painstaking installation of my h2o cooling, i boot the comp and everything is crazy and messed up, which i expected because i switched mobos.

prepared for this i formatted and did a clean install of vista, even made a new raid stripe. i was getting driver irql BSOD at first, and i knew my x-fi pci card was casuing this, so i took that out.

now i get a whole plethera of errors and crashes..

uncorrectable hardware error (stop 0x07e)
irql not less than or equal to
crashes/freezing after installing video drivers with evidence of HDD corruption
sometimes ill boot up and ill get a screen that says windows/system/config.sys is missing or corrupted(after a fresh windows install )
everythings stock, nothing OC'd..im all outta ideas here fellas. i knew id have problems, but not this many...any idea where to begin?

If it's the irq settings causing this prob, you can reset them.

In the pci / resources setup in bios, you have somekind of reset function. (god i'm bad at remembering names )

And is the irq allocation setting manual or set to "let system handle the irqs"

Rebuild DMI pool data?

ALWAYS do that when you change any kind of major hardware (RAM or CPU)

i flashed the newest bios, rebuilt the dmi pool, did a fresh install, and in about 3 hours i got a driver irql error and windows wouldnt boot anymore. then i got a uncorrectable hardware malfunction somwhere thereafter. any other things i should do?

start pulling hardware off the system until is stops giving you the error.

that is what I would do.
