I like this stepping. SO far so good! i got 3.4ghz stable on an e6420, still playing around with ram timings at 3.6ghz to pass orthos and occt overnight. ALMOST there! that e6600 variety should overclock beautifully! btw that was 3.4ghz on 1.36v stable in orthos and occt overnight.

i can barely get mine to 3.1 ghz and its idleling at 36c on a 680i lt board...

I think it's more you being bad to overclocking. There's only a VERY few steppings that crap out at 3.3-3.5 GHz.

I have my L709A stepping E6420 now orthos stable for 7hrs + at 3.5ghz with 1.41vcore.
