6TO4 Adapter

Thread Starter
Alot of my favorite websites (i.e. the ones I go to everyday) just stopped loading. One site would load some menu stuff and pictures but then just stop and I couldnt do any searches or find anything I needed.

I went into device manager and found the "attention" icon on my 6TO4 Adapter, and when I went to properties I found this

"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"

Now, I would just go to microsoft (which is where alot of google lead me to) except that microsoft is one of those websites affected by this problem. So I cant just go searching around there for an answer.

Can anyone tell me why this would fail so suddenly? How do I go about correcting it since I cant go to the microsoft website? Hell I cant even use windows update and I think its because of this.

Try reinstalling drivers?

Idk what a 6TO4 adapter is... sounds like firewire to me, but i doubt it.

can you tell me what it is and I can dig around for you?

You are in Vista aren't you?

That is a Vista related problem. XP will most likely run on your computer fine.

Every forum that I have been on that had someone with that problem, they were running Windows Vista.

I think it is just a kink that M$ is going to have to work out sooner or later...
