They don't know "about" them as in what's inside. They are looking at the analytical point of view which has track records of other systems and a prediction of the future. This is their jobs.

Debunked. Challenge Goat to it if youd like but I think he knows what hes talking about more than you do.

And Ive never seen a PC game besides FSX that took more than 1 DVD. So no...most PC games are still on 1 DVD. Theyre lying about GTA IV unless its video content.
All my PC game's take more than 1 DVD
Where have you been?

New technology is overpriced, BR is a new technology, 3 years ago the DVD with hard drives cost the same as the BR players do now. 2 years ago the BR players cost twice of what they cost now.

And BR technology is more than twice as good as DVD technology, twice the read capacity, twice the storage etc etc.

I dont think Ive ever spent more than $250 on a gaming console. Nor do I think I ever will.
You do realize that the PS3 costs 7-800 dollars to produce? it has twice the CPU power compared to the 360, most people here is happy with 2 CPU cores clocking over 3GHz, the PS3 has 7 synchronized Cell cores @ 3,2.
(360 has 3)

Look at it this way... The PS2 broke the world record of selling consoles, which console had that record before it? The PSX.

But yeah, the X-box had better hardware than the PS2 but now the table has turned, Sony now has the slow starter, but better hardware.

It wont. They say it will but it wont. 5 years from now theyll be outdated paperweights. Just like every other console 5 years later.

And the PS2 had twice the CPU power of the Xbox (no really). Was the Xbox crippled in any way just cause it had the weaker CPU?

And before that? SNES...and before that? NES. Things dont last forever. Sorry but the Playstation line is gonna fall from the top. Someone else is gonna take its place. Looks like Nintendo is gonna get its crown back

PS2 had the better CPU. Xbox had the better GPU.
PS3 has the better CPU. 360 has the better GPU.

The table hasnt gone anywhere.

What?? The PS2's really ****ty CPU was better than the one in the X-box????!!! Are you sure of this????
So the only advantage the X-box had in terms of loading capacity was it's hard drive? and I never bothered to get one for my PS2's?

The Wii will probobly outsell the PS3, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the hardware, more just the pricetag...

Either way, if the Playstation is reliable, I'll get it once it has proven to be, I won't get a 360 and I'd get a Pentium 4 before I got a Wii.

700MHz... what's up with that anyway..?

ahh reading this thread has reminded me why I should have stayed out in the first place. Just like the "Intel vs. Amd" there is good information lost between all the bickering. Seems both sides won't change their minds about either side.
