Wow. That truly is amazing. I'm kinda disappointed that I don't see any street views in STL.

this is a neat feature. but guess what?

*smells a few dozen lawsuits*

think about it. can you walk up to a hot chick in the mall and randomly take a picture of her, let alone post it on the web?

im sure its violating some laws... i know i would feel violated if peps was taking a picture of me "without my permission" let alone putting it on the web!

and think about it.... out of all the streets in the world. odds are at least one person was caught getting dressed or taking a shower without the curtain closed... or even violating the law themselves by indecent exposure in public....

and out of all the people in the world looking on google maps. im sure at least one child will take a look at one of those streets (old home or a familiar/random place) and find one of those images. (and prob a few adults too....)

(not the curtain on the shower but on the wall side if there is a window in case anyone asks.... ive seen a few houses with a window like that..)

and lets keep this a healthy debate. lets not get into a fight over it

If you go to a public landmark and take a picture and post it on the web, even if there's other in it, are you liable for a lawsuit? Since it's a public place, I'm guessing not.. Not a lawyer

No such thing as needing permission for photographing anything in a public place. Perfectly legal.

He's right. At least according to my law professor.
