Ok heres the deal I just swapped a my old board with a Asus A8N32-SLI . Im only using 1 video card (8800). I got everything installed it powers up but no video signal. I know my card is working cause I had it up before I installed my new ASUS A8N32-SLI. Is there a jumper setting or something for using a single video card on an SLI board? I AM TRYING NOT TO TELL MY SELF ITS THE MB? I dont have any extra PCI-e cards to test with. Please any sugestions?????? O yea and I also swapped the DVI cables too......
Help please......

If you can see that screen you have video. Can you get in the Bios? If you can check your memory voltage. Bios may be setting it to low at default.

Try to Flash your BIOS, with ASUS mainboards it's really easy to do. Just go onto the ASUS.com
well here is a link for you. I think that's the right link.
http://support.asus.com/technicaldoc...Language=en-us

I have Flashed and updated BIOS on 2 of my Mobos P5ND2-SLI and M2N32-SLI, and nothing bad happend. Even if something will go wrong you can just reboot and start over. Because ASUS has BIOS anti-crash protection.

Do you have a case speaker installed?

If you do, then the beeps that it gives out would clue you in to the problem.

Question: Would a RAM problem cause freezes like this, prior to even booting into the OS? Could a system even POST with a RAM issue?

If the board you have is much like the SLI board I have there is a selector circuit board that you have to check to make sure it's set for 1 or SLI mode graphics. Mine looks much like laptop memory and if it's re-inserted one way it's 1X16PCIE if the other 2 SLI mode. Maybe yours has the same and it's wrong?

AS to the powersupply comment, he stated it was running prior so unless this new board draws WAY more amps then the prior I feel he should be fine.
