ViewSonic AC Adapter

Thread Starter
Okay guys heres my question I have a ViewSonic VA912b that I need to get a 19v ac adapter for, do I need to get the ViewSonic adapter or will any 19v AC adapter work? For instance will the barrel size for sure be the same? Will anything else keep me from using another adapter? Acer Laptops and many other electronics have 19v AC adapters that can be had for much cheaper

if the voltage and the barrel size are the same, then you will in 99 percent of cases be fine.

Any 19v supply will work as long as it can supply enough amperage.

you can usually cut the barrel end off and splice the wire.

it really doesnt matter. the voltage and amperage are more important.

They sell kits so you can do that.
