this is the ram to go with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231065

this ram is really cheap and you can ask anyone around here and they will say it is some of the best ram out there and probably the best for the money

generally speaking, if the board only supports 667mhz. is that all i will get out of a stick of 800?

Technically speaking, you can put DDR2 1066 in that board but what's going to happen is that the RAM will be officially be recognized as DDR2 667 because that's how high the chipset can actually read.......

Though once you start overclocking, then that's out the window because the RAM will run at whichever speeds you set them in the BIOS.

In my 955X, the chipset supported DDR2 667 from Intel but ASUS gave it a native DDR2 800 support and I bought DDR2 1000, it worked just fine.

It's just like DDR, all chipset (nForce) supported a max of DDR400 but lots of folks were buying DDR500 and 550. Same concept basically.
