How's this WC build?

Thread Starter
I am setting up a WC build to cool my new rig which will have an E6400 for the time being, possibly E6700 in the future.

I have planned out this setup for a CPU-only loop:

- Stinger V8 (only thing already ordered)
- Laing DDC w/ Petra'sTech DDCT-01s Top Combo
- Black Ice GT Stealth 240 Radiator
- Panaflo M1A 86CFM fans (make my own shroud)
- Danger Den Fillport Reservoir

What is a good type of tubing? Is ClearFlex OK? Also can anybody recommend any water additives that are worth using?

I am open to any constructive criticism if you think something I have is overkill or not up to snuff.

I think I might go with the Laing DDC w/ Petra'sTech DDCT-01s Top Combo and the Black Ice Pro II radiator instead.

That really looks pretty good...If its only going to be a CPU loop a 240 rad is fine but if you think you might want to add a GPU later on to the loop you might want to go ahead and get a 360 now...You might want to look at the GTS rad its not that much more expensive...

I like the 7/16x5/8" Masterkleer tubing it fits on the barbs tighter and is less bulky it will flow about the same as the full 1/2"...

For coolant I add one ounce of glycerin to 40 ounces of distilled water it helps the thermal transfer and then the following...

1 bottle of this..

Blue UV Reactive Pentosin

And 2 drops of this biocide its really good and copper based...

EDIT: How are you going to mount your rad? You can hang it on the back of your case on a rad-box that way it will be out in the cooler room ambient air..

Thanks a lot! I have the Jeep mod by FoRmEd and it has a spot inside the front for a dual radiator since he designed it to be a WC case. I have no intention of adding a GPU into the loop ever since I usually swap out GPU's a lot and would rather not deal with it, and I don't OC the GPU too much ever anyways. Thanks for the help!

I actually had that one originally planned after reading your review of it, but I decided to go for a beefier pump and save money on the radiator instead (swap GTX for GTS or BIP2). I want to have the best flow I can get through my Stinger.

Yeah a 240 will be plenty then...I bet you will like your V-8 they are really good blocks...
