Thread Starter
sorry for another 'what vista to get' thread

ok, now, that's 2 games i want to play that are vista only. so i'm thinking of getting it but i have no idea what edition to get.

what i do on my machine: game, video/music playback, avi to dvd encoding, dvd burning. and thats about it.

i want to pay a minimum, since my new 8800gtx, money is a little tight

thanks in advance

You can get the Vista Home Basic if you want. all the stuff you do you can do with Home Basic. it just doesnt have aero glass..but u can play music, burn DVDs, watch movies.. and has DX10.

I'd go with 32bit, seems like 64 bit version has more issues than the 32bit one. also 64 bit is still not mainstream. yet.
