I've been looking for nearly 2 yrs. no such thing exists for sale AFAIK.

I don't understand why ATI couldn't put a modded .ver of their rialto chip on a small pci-e to AGP card thingy tho...

you might be thinking of the ATOP taht was never released to my knowledge. It would have enabled many AGP cards compatibility in a pci-e slot....

I kno that was the exact reason i was looking as well.

I had a s478 P4, and they made some pci- mobos but not many. I've looked alot for a pci-e sckt A mobo as well and have found none. Ur in aussie so look around and see if ASrock released a pci-e socket A mobo, they might have in aussie or europe since i last looked, and ASrock has alot of those wierd type mobos...

As far as an interum upgrade do they offer the x1950GT or ever pro 256 or 512mb AG in aussie?

the x1950GT is the best for the money out of 'em. i kno ur in aussie, this is jsut for comparison...

OBTW take that x1650 off ur list, they suck. at least get a x1650xt or 7600GT, and at least here in the US the x1950GT is a much better deal than either AFAIK
