ASUS mobo Wifi Stopping Router?

Thread Starter
I have been testing out the wireless wi-fi of my ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard and it has been nice, but I seem to be having some problems. When opening certain online applications (e.g. CNC 3 multiplayer), my internet breaks and I have to restart my router to fix it. Does anyone else have this problem, or if you don't what router do you use? Thanks.

My Router: Netgear 54 Mbps Wireless Router WGR614
Firmware Version: V2.16RC4_1.0.2

Did you have the router before your p5b setup, and did you have wireless working with another computer at that point?

Id go into router settings and if there is an automatic firmware update option use that, if not download the update and update the router with the new firmware. And also, ive seen the same exact problems with many other netgear wireless routers, i had the same experience with one a few months back at a LAN party and we just bought a new router..

hmm, its starting to sound like possibly a problem with the mobos wifi...

have u used the laptops in your room before? is the router high of the the ground and in a clear area, and are there any large metal objects that could possibly be in the way between your computer and the router like for example a file cabinet?
