My life after quiting video games. - Page 12

Uh oh... I think Jack Thompson registered on OCN.

Nothing bad comes from playing video games. Hell, for all you know one night of not chilling with your buds can mean not driving home drunk with your buds and end up dying.

Video games are just pass-time "sports". Why do you fish, play baseball, race cars, knit, read? To pass time. Why do you play video games? To pass time.

I wouldnt even dare thinking about quitting video games

If you find something interesting and like it, no reason why you shouldn't want to do it. Heck videogaming got me into computers in general, and looking for performance brought me here. And now i'm thinking about something having to do with computers as a career choice. All because i played videogames.

Same, but in the wrong order.

Played games, got in to computers, got a job in computers, wanted more performance.

Exactly. I know what I want to do with my life because my old computer couldn't play HL2 well.

I completely don't feel like reading an entire thread, but you're hours for gaming aren't THAT much, so I'm confused how you got withdrawls. My gaming most of my school years was 6+ hours a day on a daily basis, and I can go without a pc/console for weeks without a problem.

I picked up x-mods as a hobby once... cracked the body, frame, batter holders, and the motor cap... drove it like I would be in Burnout...

And computers may be expensive, but if all you do is game, they aren't that expensive. I bought a beginners kit for model airplane flying, as well as a bunch of other stuff and it was probably $700. That's for beginners stuff. There are many hobbies that are very expensive and time consuming.

Hehe.

Been there, done that, will probably reindulge again in the future.

Of course, four guitars (two electrics, two acoustics; two 6-strings, two 12-strings) are plenty. On the other hand, they've all got their own charms and character.

Love my 12-string guitars. Wrote my best songs on my 12-string Yamaha acoustic, and my 12-string Rickenbacker electric is my favorite to play.
