Wow, did you stop reading my post after the first sentence, I am NO pro gamer, nor that great. Play with a group of friends against some others and each chip in a buck for the pot. You'll also be able to show of to a group, whatda know?

Hey man, no worries! All is well. Two hobbies so different in all honesty cannot be compared.

For your information, you are flaming me and pencap23, and no, it's no little kids who play guitar, it's people who can do something useful that will last for a lifetime. And no I did not say I did not like video games, I said I don't play much, now, everybody is having a mature conversation, if you consider yourself not a little kid, please show it.

I play video games for about 5-6 hours a day.
Once I stopped for 2 weeks.
The result?
I was lost in a strange new world,I didnt know what to do with myself and turned to drugs.
I was a heroin addict for 2 weeks until I came to my senses and bought Test Drive Unlimited.
Now all is well.
The moral of the story is there are alot worse hobbies/addictions you can have than playing games.

But you are contradicting yourself. It is quite clear that both are hobbies and different people see will prefer certain hobbies.

This is just another flame war against each others hobbies.

You can't knock gaming and back up guitar or woodwork and vise versa.

It is purely opinion and this will soon go out of control.

I've managed the apparently difficult task of being an avid gamer while still having a good social life, a job, and decent grades.

To: The OP!

If I am correct you said you only 15 years old right?

In this case yes you should quit and focus on school, education is the gateway out of poverty! <---- some famous person probably said that somewhere!

Now, if however your grown like myself gaming is a great stress reliever and yes you can get addicted but in moderation gaming is a good thing!

Kids have to have boundaries and those need to be set by there parent(s) with out direction and leadership it is very hard for a child to over come any addiction no matter what it is.

Have fun no matter what you do and enjoy life to its fullest!

Exactly, it's opinion, and what was being said is that some people suggested to play less video games and that's it. Then, other people gave examples of alternate hobbies, and got flamed.
