I do think the fatal1ty things look cool (I have the Vf900 Fatal1ty) but I do think they are overpriced and that he is an arrogant ******* (saw him at a lan party few years back )

It's kinda like skateboarding. Skateboarding was so awesome - we had fun skateboarding, we didn't care what people thought, and a lot of people hated us. We liked it like that. We didn't hear about "extreme sports", we didn't skate to become "pro". But suddenly people like Tony Hawk show up and *******s like Bam Margera make it to the television and video games. Suddenly, skateboarding is respectable, like baseball or soccer! The "skater dude" look becomes the new scene! Skateboarding has been forever ruined.

I think gaming would end up the same if there were more and more people like John Wendell getting their names on merchandise.

it's kinda taking that turn nowadays anyway. geek-squad, mac ads, etc.
i've been into computers for ages and during my middle and high school time saw my ranking on the "social ladder" kinda take a hit from it. now i'm "cool" to have as a friend and my ex-roomate and rabid mac-man (even tho all he does is email and MS bash) gets to brag about how he fixes (calls support) his girlfriend's computer (mac book) and people think that's "cool" and "interesting". i swear, when i was first getting into comps i'd say that and i'd get the "*roll-eyes* okay, that's nice" or the blunt "nerding out much?".

feels good honestly, but pisses me off when i think about it

Interesting example. I guess anything can be commercialized. =/

xD Mac ads are the worst. I can't help but laugh. People who know what they're doing should never get those errors, and even if one does get such an error, they should know how to handle it.

I just think fatality spelled with a '1' is stupid... so I can not bring myself to buy any product like that

although he is kind of a tool, too. XD

if I want a faster spinning fan, Ill just push some more volts through the sucker. and add red LEDz for the bling bling.

Yup

In response to the quote... Do you know how many times i have heard those types of comments?

Everyone at my school is like OMG Alienware *** better than your PC. Omg more ram PLZ betta.

Sheesh, people need to educate themselves lol.

Anyways on topic. His name is on nearly everything, i don't even understand why the companies wanted it. I always knew who fatal1ty was, and his name being on the product didn't entice me to buy it.
Maybe it does for some...
Never met the guy... But hey i would love to get paid for my gamer name...

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz Dezixn Edition
Has a nice ring to it huh? But i need numbers in my name to be cool.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz Dez1xN Edition
Now i am as cool as Fatal1ty
