I had a motherboard with some S3-derived integrated video. Good god, it was horrible. The Intel G33 board I had also had abominable integrated video, being beaten out by a Geforce 3 Ti200. *shakes head at IGP makers*

FX5700... ugh that card was a failure. Couldn't run CSS in DX9. Though, it was my fault, I thought it would be better than my 9600XT (at least it played css in dx9) redface.gif

8800GTS 320mb. The G80, not the G92.

Most disappointing card I've ever owned. Hot was about the only thing it could run.

Single slot Radeon HD3870 from Sapphire. Fan was ramping up way too much and way too often for my taste, I like my pc to be quiet

I had an Nvidia FX5200, it was way slower than I was expecting considering the previous generation of cards and when I overclocked it to be able to play the orignial Far Cry I burned it up. After that I quit playing PC games for a couple of years and did not get a new card until the geforce 7600 (which was a decent but short lived card considering the switch to stream processors in the next generation). So both of those were bad choices to be honest.

for me right now its a tie between the asus 5770 directcu 1gb card and the powercolor hd 7870. the 5770 was just a trash card it performed like garbage on most games i had tried to run on it. it would also crash and flicker constantly. as far as the 7870 goes i like the performance but the god awful racket the fan makes has really started to bother me. the card heats up really quickly too after a few hrs of folding im sitting in the high 70's and after a few days its in the mid 90's and the fan is blasting like a jet engine. the noise didnt really bother me much until cc. i didnt rack up as many points as i would have liked to due to the noise driving me nuts. if water blocks are released soon i may keep the card instead of sell it. at the current moment both cards have halted me from gaming and it is holding back my new found joy of folding (ppd and wu completion). either way its a great card but its extremely noisy.
