i did some reading and found that the radiator uses 1/4" copper tubing which runs through the aluminum. This is good though right? Doesnt heat transfer better with copper but dissipate better with aluminum?

anyway with the copper tubing i dont run the risk of galvanic corrosion right? but the 1/4" will really hinder my efforts at cooling?

yup it will really decrease the performance.
Yup they say that, but i dont really trust them, i had the same red, and the rad wasent the problems, it was those silver cheap barbs they come with.
1/4 is really small and will restrict your flow wayyy too much!!
just get a new rad. You can get a good MCR320 for about $50 or less.
