Ok right, there is a spare male one. It's in the middle of the adapters attached to the 20 gig harddrive and the cd drive. Do I use that one?

well, the power connector for the floppy is smaller, it doesnt use the 4 pin molex connector. Only hard drives, video cards and motherboards use that.

Before you screw in the new drive, connect it and lie it at the bottom of the case and configure it before you finalyse the whole thing. then you can take it out and replace it iwth the 160gb drive.
If you have a digital camera, please take a clear picture of the inside of your case, and I will guide you based on your rig's setup.

dotn worry, as soon as you open that case door, you have to go through this. It took me days before I figured out how to setup master/slave for hdds and cd drive when I had my pentium I..

Let us know how it goes..

I *think* he's sorted out the cable from the hard drive to the motherboard.

Its the power terms of things now.

What you want to do is find one of these coming out of the PSU:

http://pictures.xbox-scene.com/xbox3...-connector.jpg

And plug the end of the power adapter which fits into it (the right one in the picture below)

Then the other end of the power adapter should look like this (the one on the left)

http://sierra-cables.com/SATA/Images...er-Cable-1.jpg

Plug that into your hard drive

Again crap pics, but i've attatched the red cable to a sata port on the mobo then attached it onto the harddrive and ive plugged the female power adapter into the male apart and plugged that in next to the red cable because I couldn't use the 4 pin slot on the harddrive. Is that ok or?
