there was cheaper on there, $440 for Dual Channel with 7-7-something timings at 1033MHz, but I'm sure you could overclock that stuff. And the market right now is people who want the latest hardware for little more than bragging rights and will blow $5000 on a rig that performs marginally better than a $2000 rig.

$439 for a 2GB kit when you can buy DDR2 for $120 and performance wise there's no difference in both systems? (one using DDR2 and the other using DDR3 of course).

It'll be a very long, long, long time before DDR3 becomes main stream. I'm guessing longer than what DDR2 took, since that DDR2 comes in 1066 flavor and CAS 5...........and 333fsb CPUs are not even here yet but even so? from 333 to 533, there's a nice gap for overclocking, and better timings.

What is up with thows timings, one would think that it would be slower than DDR2 at that speed. Also $500 for 2 gigs i could get 4 for that price. Also do they even have motherboards that use this "crap" yet,I dont think so,so why are they selling it at all.
