Best AM2 CPU Cooler for under $30.

Thread Starter
i just bought the Biostar K8M800 Mobo and AMD X2 3600+ cpu bundle from newegg.

what would be the best cpu cooler to get for under $30 i have a Gigabyte G-Power cooler on my s478 cpu right now.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835128010
i'm sure it doesnt support socket AM2.

but this one does, and its another nice Gigabyte cooler.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835128014

its $35, just wondering if there was a better one for under $30.

I advice you to get COOLER MASTER Gemin II which you can later upgrade with some fans attached into it

I agree, and ewiz has it for $20.44 with free shipping right now.
Mine works great on my Sempron, and will be putting it on my 3600+ today hopefully.

Just watch it when you install it, I found it easier to install with the MoBo out of the case (after I figured out the clip was on backwards from the factory).
The Sempron I did out of the case and it was way easy, with the MoBo installed, I took out my PSU to have room. Just a little awkward with big hands and very little space.

I personally had horrible temps with the F64 Pro (6-8c over stock). I've since lapped it and put another fan on it (zip ties rock) so we'll see what happens. Currently, the mobo in my sig is fried, apparently, so I'm waiting on the Biostar I just ordered. We'll see after that.

But stock, the F64 was a pile of poo, as you can tell by my sig.

hmm ive been wondering if i should order the ac f64 because i dont really feel like lapping it to get great performance, but for $20 at ewiz, its a steal and im not sure i can pass it up.

If you keep your eye out on Newegg, you can get an open box for $9.99 like I did.
