Hmm. Never thought of that. I'm not sure if CF systems are included in the graph. I'd assume the program has the ability to differentiate between CF and single card systems for a comparison. Maybe not, though...

yeah same. although it does make me wonder how those particular individuals get sky high scores on their systems? i mean i get 11,224 in 3dmark05 with my system at stock. overclocked i get 13,362. but someone manages to get 13,612 AT STOCK with a system similar to mine. i mean what the hell.

and to malibu, no the ORB includes systems with SLI/CF in the graph. be very grateful for your score. its awesome =]

Also, where do i get the warcat drivers from? do i have to wipe the old Catalyst drivers off first before installing the warcat ones?

I tried following the steps at the top of page 3 from MR Pink57 in this thread:

http://www.overclock.net/ati/142854-...+PRO+OVERCLOCK

But the install for the Warcat 7.4 drivers seems to be different than the 6.12. It never offered me the option to find an ATI driver from a CD. I downloaded and used a trial version of Driver Cleaner, though.

I also couldn't figure out how to incorporate and use the Ati Tray Tools.

I used ATI Tray Tools driver level overclocking. Overdrive can be hit or miss with these RV570 GPUs. Get the latest release at
www.guru3d.com
in the downloads section. Make sure that you tick the box 'driver level overclocking'
If this is the Sapphire with the reference cooler, you may not be able to get that high on the core clocks due to the VRMs overheating. This was my issue when I had a Sapphire card. I think that they fixed the issue though. I bought my Sapphire in September, then RMAd for the HIS.
All you do is install ATT, then go to hardware, overclocking. Then set the fan to %100, then check the 'driver level' After that, move the slider to OC. We used to have to move the slider on the memory in increments of 27 Mhz, the reference clock, but that is fixed now. Be glad for that sir
Also, Crossfire and single card isn't differentiated in the 3dmark scores. FYI
Also, that 3dmark 05 score is really good. I bet you were running 03.

Here I am with stock CPU, Sapphire single card.

The G84 based cards do better at synthetic benchmarks than the X1950PRO.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I read something about trying to increase the memory in 27Mhz jumps. Seems pretty extreme! Plus that'd be some oddball math.

I'll give the Tray Tools another go and see if I can do better. Sounds like all in all, I should be satisfied, and leave well enough alone, though.

BTW, I was indeed running 3dmark05. If you'd like I could post a screenie later. I can't offer proof right now, my computer is at home.

Edit: Oh and I tweaked a couple settings in my bios. I have the PCI slot set at 101, and set the PEG Link Mode to "Fast". Seems to help.

I keep my PCI-E at 109 Mhz, but I doubt it matters that much. It does matter some, according to VR-Zone. I'd post the review, but it's been so long...

Well, I bumped it up to 103 and ran it again. I gained a few points. Here's my screenie. I know these can be fudged, but I don't have the skills, and why would I lie?
