biatchi, I installed both windows and ubuntu a long time ago, within a few minutes of eachother. It's not a linux problem.

And gfreeman, thanks for the help. I'll try that later tonight or tomorrow (too busy now). Hopefully that'll fix it

I'm really sorry I can't give u more infoz. I turned the comp off last night, then turned it on this afternoon and windows wouldn't start. Nothing happened that was out of the ordinary.

Also, I tried booting from my windows disk, but for some reason it just wouldn't boot. I selected my cd drive to boot from and it didn't even spin the disk. I should be able to get a bootable disk from a friend, and then upgrade to mine for activation, but ANY OTHER METHODS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

You will keep everything on your hard drive, not just my documents. . Just make sure you say not to do a format when you install windows. The only reason I singled out my documents was becuase it's a little harder to find, but your game saves would still be where they are.
