Dual HDD dual boot?

Thread Starter
Hey I have a few HDD's on my main rig a 74g raptor with windows on it and two 250g WD 3.0g sata's. I am not using one of the 250 gig guys and I wanted to instal the new ubuntu on it but I am not sure how to make it work. Guess I dont have a good understanding of dual boot systems.

Is there a guide here for setting up a dual boot system. I was wondering do I just run the install disk and point it to partition and load on the correct hdd but does that allow you to choose which one to boot to or do you do something different.

Thanks for a link or info, would prefer a guide if there is one around so that more people can use it also.

Ok it was easier then I thought, just installed to the new HDD and followed the prompts and bam your golden.....

Just had to change my first boot HDD to the one with ubuntu on it which then will give me the option of which os to load, pretty cool

If they are on different drives the windows mbr is probably still intact. If your GRUB/Ubuntu ever goes down you can still get into windows by booting from that drive.
