alright, this will be my first dual core so i would like some opinions
im looking at cpu's first
should i get a e6300, e6320, e6400, or a e6420?
-im mostly considering a 63 or 6320 but i dontknow which is better for-overclocking.
next is motherboard. i need help for that need good OCer
-needs tosupport the core 2, ddr2, and pcie
i have 2gig's (2x 1gig) ddr2 sticks of supertalent pc2-5300
i have a gemin II cooler
pcie video card (FEAR at full res hopefully, dont care for dx10)
basically i need the mobo and cpu for under $550 (thats what im selling laptop for)
if i have enough money to spare im going to either up for water cooling or most likely video card

well, a used 6300 will be better for overclocking than a 6320 for the most part, but it has half the L2 cache. personally, I'd look for a week 27-29 or 31-33 used e6300. that should run you about $140. for a motherboard, i would go with the brand new asus p5k vanilla, which sells for $145. that leaves $265 for a video card! id go with an 8800GTS 320mb, which will put you right at 550 bucks. although its a dx10 card, it has superb dx9 gaming.

e6300

the e6320 has the most cache but that creates heat and the e6300 can 100% overclock.

The others are good but this is the best bang for buck.

IMO, dont get that board. get the p5b deluxe if you are willing to spend that much
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131045

also, the 4400 has not been a great overclocker at all. dont get it.
