Alright whats every ones thoughts on this. I'm looking to get a new graphics card for around $400. I have been looking at this ATI http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121073 and then this Nvidia http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143092 Which one looks better to you guy's? I have not used Nvidia in a long time my last one blew up in less than a week so ever from then on I have used ATI on all of my machines. Also about what size Power supplie would you think I would need to power these monsters?

you can get an 8800GTS much cheaper, like $300. so i would do that and get a e4300 with the savings

Yeah I like ATi myself, but it looks like the 8800's got their 2900 line beat this time around. I hear the 2900 kick butt in Crossfire though.

Well pure performance wise I'd say get the HD 2900xt, but value seems to go to the GTS. Also you need a minimum of 550 watts to power that, depending on the 12v amps.

Hmmm ya I'm starting to kinda like the looks of the EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 640MB. Does any one have one of these? How do you like it any bugs that you have found with it?

well i have the 320mb version, other than that, they are the same card.. it performs very well in apps and games. I'd def go with evga's 8800GTS. a good deal and theres this set up program.

Dam your right F3t1sh but we'll have to see how it does first. Like I said I had some problems with my last Nvidia based card. I think it was some thing like a GeForce 2 GTS I bought one had it a week blew up. Got a secound one didn't even power up nothing pluged it in just a blank screen and no post. Take it out put back in my old Ati I forget what it was and worked fine.
