This last month vista has improved so much.

I give it another 3-4 months until it will be as good as XP.

You can get "lite" versions of vista that can run on 256mb ram. There are also guides saying exactly what to delete and what to keep. These play games as well as your average XP. They fit on CD aswell.

I'm gonna laugh when you all find out its not happening. Theres no way in the world microsoft will let this happen. If they let it happen, the guy will give up because hes frustrated.

This was my thoughts on this as well...no way would Microsoft allow this and if we know about it...they know about it.

The price of Vista will go down to XP prices shortly...MS is just goign to milk it for a while.

I wonder why no one is sueing MS for fixing the price of operating systems?

If you buy a Wii, you should be shot for buying a console that has almost 20 good titles, a fun implemented motion sensor system, a cheap $250 price tag and reliable/stable build.

All the real gamers buy the 360, with its massive library of two awesome games. (Gears of War and Forza 2)
the wii has 2-3 decent games at best, with the rest being multi platform...it's all preferance. "One mans garbage is another man's Gold"

How could you sue a company for releasing a product if you WILLINGLY bought it, and it wasn't forced upon you. You DON'T have to buy Vista, but it's an awesome OS with a few first year hitches, it's the same with every new OS. This time next year, Vista will have all it's problems fixed and will reign in as the new King over XP.

You wouldnt be able to sue for buying it...but you would be able to sue for all of the products and software you bought for it. If dx10 is 'cracked' for XP use, I dont imagine their would be any other function of Vista that COULDN'T run in XP. Hence, there would have been no reason to buy so-called 'Vista' compatible hardware, or software either. That is where it will get stinky for M$.

at the time of purchase was Vista not the only OS compatible with what you wanted? Yes, then obviously they can't fight that. There is no law about support after a product is released, thus they don't have to implement anything into XP if they don't want to, the only reason they even do patches is to keep customers otherwise they could care less, they want to spend as little as possible to make as much as possible that's why microsoft is worth billions.... all that would come out of it is a bad image for a few minutes until people realize running DX10 in XP would be like driving a minivan in nascar....You ain't going nowhere fast...Hence Vista is the only solution for DX10 Gaming
