Thread Starter
Finally my xp 2000 gave up on me and now its time to upgrade.
I have already the hard drive so basicly need graphic card, cpu and a good FAN for it, psu, motherboard and memory. And i am not sure if i wanna go intel or amd route i might want to upgrade to Barcelona in a year or so not sure however between this Core 2 Duo E6600 and the amd 6000 ?

I found already here the graphic card. preferably something directx10 competable

Here's a good set-up. It has a mobo that will help oc that allendale, the ram will go up to like 1000, the gpu will outperform any gpu in it's price range and the tuniq tower will help you oc high.

I see that you want an 8600gts, go with this instead of that BFG, eVGA will let you ste-up to another card if you choose to and there customer service is excellent.

Ok, if you have solved for a opetrating system, here is my suggestion

The case is awesome, my friend just bought it, and trust me, you dont need that cooler master centurion ugly ass case, this one is great for the moneh

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102068
SAPPHIRE 100166L Radeon X1650XT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail

Trust me, that thing is better than a x1950GT dude, 600/1400 its an xt you will worship it

Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130057

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103751 when it becomes available, buy this 4600 because its free shipped, and you will love it

ram:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231098 its cheap, and *** do you need to overclock it for anyway

case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811164081

its AWESOME dude, I assembled a PC in it, and it ****ing great

For monitor, you choose

CPU

X1650? Are you serious?

I don't think he needs a case. check the OP. An 8800GTS will fit in the budget.

Also, you don't need anything better than an X2 3600+ Brisbane, since all those CPUs overclock the same. Plus, the one you picked is a Windsor, which isn't as good as the Brisbanes. The X2 3600+ will outclock that CPU.

Check my list above. If you don't like PNY, you can get an eVGA 8800GTS for $20 more

QFT. I about crapped my pants when they suggested a x1650 for a new build. Not that it needed to be said, but Chozart's build is by far what you should go with out of the suggestions. You won't be sorry.
