For monitor, you choose

CPU

oh ****, PSU, um check this one out, free ship, good brand, over 32 on the 12V plus has a good rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171018

good luck dude
I don't mean to flame or anything like that, but how is a crappy x1650 chipset with only a 128-bit memory interface better than a great chipset with a 256-bit memory interface? There is absolutely no way ANY x1650 card will beat a x1950 in any game. Not by a long shot.

Regardless, DX10 use aside, I'd still go with the 8800--it fits nicely in the budget.

That's a nice motherboard, but only worth it if you plan to go SLI, something I don't see happening with your budget.... If you plan SLI in the future, you'll need a beefier PSU and a more powerful CPU.

I would just stick with the budget, and get the best video card possible within that budget.... which is the 8800GTS. The Biostar tForce 550 I suggested generally is a nice overclocker.

I bet it's his processor's smoking..

Anyways, I'd take the Tforce 550. I've seen people get 2.7-3GHz with it, plus you can't beat it for the price.

Definitely crank out for the 8800GTS 320MB. We're gonna be seeing alot more DX10 games out soon, so it's a smart move. Plus, it annihilates ANY DX9 game. period.

The 8800GTS is SLI capable. Meaning that you can get two of them and run them in SLI.

SLI simply means 2 of the same graphics card running together.

It has nothing to do with DX10, DX9, ect..

NVIDIA has SLI, and ATI has Crossfire.

SLI means that you are running TWO video carsd in your system.

The 8800GTS is SLI-ready, meaning that you can put two of them in SLI.

Obviously, this costs more money (the second video card), and you'll need more power (as well literally in terms of Wattage... heavier PSU, as in CPU power... think core 2 duo, or the future AMD Phenom). For the budget you're working with, a single card set up will be just fine. I am assuming you won't have another $300 laying around fairly soon.

And even if you do, it's still a better idea to upgrade to the next higher level single card (8800GTX or whatever is available in the future), than to go SLI.
