Watercooling may be a option, have you tryed a suicide run? Higher vcore/fsb and see if it gets into windows?

even if i get into windows it usually crashes in Orthos. and im already at 1.50 vcore. is it safe to go past that on air cooling?

and yea i dunno why my HX's are so weird

I ran Sandra memory bandwidth test and they are running at 57% effeciency...thats bad isnt it?

Depends on your type of cooling and what your temps are. I've pushed this one to 1.58 to obtain 3.83ghz. However not all these chips are made the same, some require more and some require less vcore to be stable, it would't be any fun to us if they were all the same lol

haha you got a point. My idles are 32-34. And load is 50-52. Do you think i should try and push it? 60C on load is still not dangerous right?

60c is getting there , I see some say 65c but who runs a pc at full load all the time tho. Just monitor your temps at idle and load

I've been folding for days (24/7) 100% cpu usage

Yea but you are at 45c load tho, he's at 50/55c and wants to push his cpu even farther so the temps will go even higher

I also am in need of help, I cannot get past 3.5GHz

I am using the following settings:

VCore: 1.5V
Mem: 2.5V
1.2HT: 1.3V
NB Core: 1.55V
SB Core: 1.5V
CPU VTT: 1.55V

The FSB Memory Clock Mode is set to "Unlinked" and I have tried lowering memory FSB and raising it, both to no effect.

I can get it running stable up to 9 x 389 (3.5GHz) after that the system will black out on POST BIOS or load windows then crash.

I am running a e6600 with an Asus P5N32-E SLi and 2 x 1GB of Micron major 800MHz DDR2 memory (I know not the best).

I was ideally hoping to achieve 4GHz, or at the least 3.8GHz.

Am I setting the bar too high or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be most appreciated!
