I didn't, I havnt had any problems with OCing my CPU in vista, only GPU.

But when in doubt, I would. I know for sure my overclock is stable in vista, so I didn't revert it.

There is a thread I've made about something that surely has to do with this thread's creator and the issue he is describing. Apparently, drivers can affect over-clocking, and significantly.

The thread in question is at OCForums, here is the link: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=513489

I'm sure that my GTS, which is currently OC'ed to 600/900 will also present stability issues in Vista (I'm about to install Vista in a few hours). I can't be sure at 100% until I test it myself, but Vista's drivers are currently immature on both sides, and I'm pretty certain that over-clocking will also turn out to be less "productive" and stable than in XP.

you have a 8800GTS there is no need to overclock that card any way it has lots of power already. But i did OC my 8600GTS to 800MHz and 2200MHz in vista 64 bit with ATi tool with no problem,I keep it at stock speeds any ways it gets realy hot.

I was just wondering, insteading of soft-overclocking, what if you flash to a overclock that's stable in XP? Would it conflict with Vista?
