Help me! Using a TV and Monitor at the same time on 8800 GTS.

Thread Starter
I quite often run an svideo and audio cable from my PC to my bigger TV to play shows, movies, and anime when i have friends over, or when my family wants to watch something. My PC is sort of a media system as well!

Anyways on my old ATI Radeon X850 XT, i could use both my TV and my monitor at the same time and it would work perfectly.
But now *and i don't know if this is due to switching to my 8800 GTS, or because i got a 20.1' widescreen monitor* when i use both displays at once, either the TV's display works fine and the monitor has a lower resolution *everything fits on screen, it is just bigger and looks bad* or the monitor stays the same and the image doesn't fit on the TV.

Also i loved the feature of the ati catalyst thing where you could set it to theater mode and clone, so my TV would display video files in full screen, and i would be free to use my PC without having to keep the video in full screen...

I'm trying to do this with the nvidia application btw.

A lot of info i know, and kinda vague if you do not know what i am talking about...

Maybe someone knows of an alternative program to do this with? Or knows what i'm talking about and how to get it to work so both displays will display correctly?

I don't quite understand what your problem is.

In the nvidia application, set the display to have them both configured independently. Close the nvidia applicatoin. Right click on desktop, go to properties, settings tab, click on monitor two, select, extend my windows desktop to this monitor, then set the resolution for each screen.

What part of that is messing up for you?
