Oh and that board is very sweet. I didn't know it was better (at overclocking) than the nf4 mobos but I knew it was very awesome.
Yeah--perhaps if the silicon raid controller doesn't work, that's what I'll do. Or perhaps I'll take another person's suggestion and install windows on my 80GB SATA, and everything else on my 2x160GB Barracudas in RAID0. We'll see--eagerly awaiting the arrival of the board! Hope I can get decent OC's with my crappy Antec SmartPower 450w PSU. Might have to upgrade that soon...

Thanks to everyone for the input!

Yes I am, are you sure you aren't confusing the two raid controllers? I've never heard of anyone having a problem with the silicon.

Alright, here's a question for you guys. I have my 2x160GB seagates on the Silicon Image SATA bank (the bank at the very bottom of the board, SATA5 through SATA8), and I can enter the RAID utility just after the POST and set up the RAID array--and it sees the drives--except when I go into Windows, the drive does not show up in My Computer, even under Device Manager.

I am not running my OS on the RAID drives, and my OS drive is plugged into the other SATA controller bank (SATA1 through SATA4).

I installed all of the drivers for the RAID controller, but still no go. Perhaps there's something I'm missing in the BIOS? Maybe I should make a new thread for this...
