Even though 64-bit processors came out several years ago, there is still very little support for 64-bit software. Many 64-bit drivers are MIA or buggy. Even though all of the new processors are 64-bit there really isn't a huge usage of the 64-bit programming. All of the machines I'm running are still 32-bit and I haven't been penalized even one bit (no pun!). 99% of the computers out there are still running on 32-bit OSes and 32-bit software.
