Hey guys, great to see there's still a lot of us on 754! I've just done a system rebuild and I'm playing with OCing right now, Here's my initial overclock - 2.3Ghz on a newcastle Athlon 64 3000+ http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=304502

achieved with:
HTT 230
CPU multiplier x10
HTT multiplier x3
Memory divider 10:12 (166)
all voltages at default

I get 41 seconds on Superpi, with idle temps of 24.
I tried 240 and 235 HTT but it wouldn't post - are higher voltages in order?

well your RAM would still be below stock so yes i would add voltage to the CPU first then if that doesn't work try adding voltage to the memory

Just get an AC 64 freezer pro they are dirt cheap and great after market coolers. Yeah, it will run hotter because it's built on 130nm tech but you should be able to get something out of it. Give it a whirl and let us know! Also you can get a new oem 3200+ venice core off ebay from a reputable seller that should OC to 2.6 - 2.7 and runn very very cool and it's dirt cheap!
