disgusting...My Rig is down below and here are my results:

BEFORE OVERCLOCKING AT STOCK:

http://service.futuremark.com/orb/re...=0&UID=9514756

9047

AFTER OVERCLOCKING AT 3.17GHz 1:1 Ratio 5-5-5-15 TIMINGS:

http://service.futuremark.com/orb/re...=0&UID=9515505

10833

I seriously cant figure this out, maybe I'm just sucking at my first OC rig.

I need as many people as possible to give me input, these numbers seem ridiculous.

PLEASE THROW ANY IDEAS YOU HAVE FOR ME TO TRY IN THIS THEAD, I DONT CARE HOW RIDICULOUS IT SOUNDS. PLEASEEE

Also please chime in if you think its an issue with my RAM or Motherboard, maybe even my E6400 at the Week 04 of 2007 Stepping (LoLz)

I may swap out and get some bastilix with D9's.

I know for a %*#(!@#*'ing fact it isn't the video card

1. your not using approved drivers. try using proper nvidia ones, but remmeber to use driver cleaner pro.

2. that mobo sucks for overclocking.

3. you actually got a descent overclock so previous point doesnt matter.

4. your score is fine. what in earth are you complaining about?

Score seems perfectly fine to me.

Your CPU score seems low, though. I'm not familiar with e6400's in 3DMark so perhaps googeling for comparison would be a good idea.

Edit: I get 2800 or so for CPU score.

1. I've never used the approved drivers, the approved ones are old.
2. The P6N is based on 650i and that chipset is a good overclocker.
3. Agree with you there, but he needs to do some stability checking.
4.His score should be around 12K, I obtained 10500 with a E6300 @ 3.06 and an overclocked 8800GTS @ 650/1025. He should be able to beat me.

Make sure you run Orthos to make sure your overclock is stable. THat may be your problem. Also, since your using a 650i board, I would clock your memory independantly (unlinked), so it is not linked to the CPU FSB.

actually. read the reviews for the P6N, many claim its the worst 650i board for overclocking.

I told him to try the approved ones just to see if it fixes his problem.

with 3dmark people manage to beat other people regardless of their specs. people with worst rigs than mine manage to beat me. how? i dont know, but they do.

Can you play games with it? If so, then what's the problem? I mean, I'm all for squeezing the most performance out of components when possible (and it's fun), but aside from bragging rights, if it works when you need it to, a 3dmark score shouldn't make you feel worse or better about it--I'm sure you can find other non-nvidia release drivers that will make your card score higher in 3dmark, but likely won't affect gameplay (and in some cases hinders gameplay). So I don't think anything's wrong with your rig. Those scores look about right. If it works, be happy. And contrary to what some people say, please don't take on the saying "if it ain't broke, then fix it 'till it is."

I basically have the same setup as you, and I get almost exactly your score too:
10820 in 3dmarks 06, my E6420 is clocked at 3.0 ghz and the memory is 4-4-4-12, 8800 GTS (320mb) is 660/2020. I've had trouble overclocking, but then again I don't really know what I'm doing, but any higher FSB and the system won't even post. I'm content with my overclock as anything I try to play, I can play max settings. I haven't tried messing with the voltages but I probably won't. Are you able to clock your 6400 any higher?
