What Fans do I need to OC?

Thread Starter
I am using an Asus P5B-E MB, Rage 64meg graphics card, 2x 1Gig DDR2 5300 Ram sticks, Intel core duo 6400 processor along with the fans that came when I bought these parts.

What fans should I get so that I can begin to test overclocking the system reliably, without having to worry about any damage?

Also, if there is anyone with a similar setup, what has been a reliable overclock?

Thanks very much!!

As he said, but I'm seriously wondering what you're doing with a rage card O_o

For less than 50$ you can get something 10/20x times better ^_^

Reason for my rage card is that I use the system purely for music making so top end graphics are really not necessary.

Do I only need a processor fan or do I need anything else? What about ram? and exhaust etc. Keeping in mind that the system must be relatively quiet.

Talking of which, how loud is the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme??

Lol, really.... Of course I get it, processor and ram.... yes I am new to this, and have so far pushed up cpu to 200, the ram automatically went up from 667 to around 725, rebooted, and the system was so slow. I am assuming that it was sluggish as it was overheating. I checked the temp of the MB and it said 50degrees, alarms going off.... so I tweaked it back down again. - all applied via the bios and not the software. Fans on auto....

Any suggestions or am I on the right track?
