What thermal grease\paste works with heat sinks?

Can i just use regular old Arctic silver 5 to put my heatsink on or do i need some other stuff?

If you have some, it's very very good. I have tried a lot of pastes, but in the end AS5 is my preferred thermal paste of choice. I also use a lot of Ceramique on minor builds and in certain situations. Just don't use too much, a little will go a long way. Also, don't forget the "burn-in" period after initial installation.
