Need help with ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe... any experiance welcome.

I am looking for anyone with experience using the ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe and water cooling.

I went to go mount my new D-tek Fuzion tot he new motherboard and ran into a problem. Asus uses a backplate which they call ASUS COOL STACK 2.0 it claims to lower core temps by 20c or what not.

Now the issue is that with the D-Tek mounting this back plate and the water block would just flop back and forth because of half inch plastic that sticks through for the stock mounting gear. As of now I removed the back plate and mounted the water block by itself but havent booted up the new chip yet because im wondering what effect this COOL STACK actually has on the mother board and what adverse effects it will have...

Any experience would be helpful...

remove the plastic piece that came on the mb and use the backplate ...the water block screws through the mb into the backplate.

I did remove the plastic piece and i screwed into the metal piece and came through the back...

The problem is that the washers that come with the Fuzion dont fit over those metal feet that stick through the backplate. So what you end up with is like 1 cm of wiggle room that even if you tighten the nut down it flops back and forth...

doing that would also change the height of the tension spring so you wouldnt have as much pounds of pressure on the board.

What water block you using with it?

Also if I recall the Apogee screws into the mobo from the top which works out perfect where the D-tek actually comes through the back and then you are actually tightening the CPU block onto the screw you secured...

you are correct about the Apogee mounting....didnt the Fuzion come with a similiar mounting kit ? if not , you should be able to mount it the same way as the Apogee....screws down through the block into the backplate....maybe some others here who have more experience with the Fuzion can help out..
