If you get HL2: DM, there's a mod called Source Forts that is just sweet. You get to build bases to try to keep the other guys from getting your flag, but you still need to be able to get back to your flag to return it. The really hardcore guys have made grenade launchers using the walls they give you and 2 grenades. It's pretty sweet. I'd give it a shot.
