Hi

I was wondering which one i should get and which would overclock better, the E6400 or the E6420. I am going to get a DS3P and 2 GB of G-Skill HZ RAM.
All help would be appreciated thanks

The 6420 has extra cash which will aid in overclocking and speed

They can OC to the same speed if they had the same stepping. The extra cache will not help you overclock higher, neither will it be a downside. In real life gaming the extra 2mb cache means a few fps more, a minor difference. The extra 2mb cache only shines out when it comes to heavy cpu tasks. With the prices so close together, you might as well get an E6420.

Considering that the E6420 is $1 cheaper than the E6400, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't get it.

The E6420 will shine with a good overclock.
