I'd go with the Acer, typically a better brand IMO. Check out the review percentages as well, many more 5 eggs compared to the Sceptre. Just my opinion.

EDIT: The Samsung 226BW is also a great monitor. Costs a little more, but I have the 225BW (earlier model of the 226), and I love it - and the 226 is supposed to be better.

EDIT: Also, while the stats (like response time and contrast ratio) are important, I think it's just as important to read the reviews. I say this because a lot of larger LCD's, especially older revolution ones, have been known to have ghosting and bleeding problems. The reviews often cast some light on these issues.

Second one, the Sceptre, Higher contrast, mostly everything else is the same, the faster refresh rate is also good, but 3ms is totally negligible anyway.

The only real thing the Acer has over the Sceptre is HDCP. If it were me, I'd pick up that Sceptre.

People seem to dislike the Sceptres a lot for some reason, but I have one and I love it. It's cheap, nice quality, looks sexy, and doesn't ghost at all. The only problems I can really think of is that the stand is a little bit flimsy and the back light bleeds but the back light bleeds on the Acer too.

That sceptre has a BAD DVI PORT!! It says it in the reviews. I would DEFINITELY go with the acer because I have a crappy acer and I freaking love it...There's this one that is cheap but won't let you down: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16824252008
