Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Windsor Overclocking

Thread Starter
to try to make a long story short... i am currently overclocking an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Windsor from 2.00 ghz to 2.7 ghz. i was able to get to 2.750 ghz but then my pc would not boot after a restart. i went back down to 2.7 and everything is fine once again. cpu is at 1.485v now. when trying to go above 2.750 i gave the cpu 1.5v but it slill would not boot...my question is : what are some things i can do to try to get this cpu higher ? temps are not a problem at all yet..currently running custom water cooling setup.i am currently only using the FSB for overclocking.

Have you set the memory divider and loosened the timings at all?

Should be under the same bios page as the timings.
