gnome = irritating

post #1 of 7

How do you get the stupid desktop manager to open folders in the same window? It's really irritating when you go through 10 subdirectories and you now have 10 windows open for each one.

What version are you using?

In the terminal type: gconf-editor
then: apps->software(OR what ever the first option is)->nautilus->properties->default
one of the first few options make sure the box about a browser or browser-mode is checked.

Path might not be totally correct, been awhile since I used gnome. its under the nautilus options though.
