Liquid cooling IDLE:Temps/Core2quad.

I just went out and got some liquid cooling set up and idle im running 47 48 44 44

load im around 58 58 54 54 am i safe to start over clocking and are these good temps?

That seems a bit hot, try reseting your waterblock and use Arctic Silver's instructions for quad cores, to properly apply the TIM.

At stock speed on my quad the Thermaltake Big Typhoon loads at 50C, and with my water cooling at stock speeds it loads at 40C.

Something 'aint right here, I would hold off on overclocking until you get it sorted out. What WC setup are you using?

I applied the white **** they gave me would i be better off useing AS5? (talking about the compound) or is there a specific type for water cooling? And i cant really reset tthis because its a ***** to get off.

Can't say I know it.

That white gunk thats included with most kits is usually crap. Get a tube of AS5 and use that. Either way you'll have to reset the WB to change the TIM.

Yes that seems hot for an idle. my pump doesn't have enough head pressure and my temps are lower.

Reset cooler with AS5 and let us know!
